The event takes place at SummerStage in Central Park, near Fifth Avenue and 72nd Street, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM ET. Admission is free for all fans, and attendees can register on the team’s website.
Fans at Playoff Palooza will have the chance to meet Knicks alumni, with appearances planned at each watch-party location. The day also features the Crosstown Express Bus presented by DoorDash, face painting, temporary tattoos, vertical jump games, spin-to-win contests, free samples from Snapple and C4 Energy, a vintage photobooth, and various giveaways.
Following the festival, the Knicks will host Game 1 watch parties outdoors at Plaza33 on 33rd Street outside Madison Square Garden and again at SummerStage in Central Park.
Game 1 between the Knicks and Hawks tips off at 6:00 PM ET on April 18 at Madison Square Garden and will stream exclusively on Prime Video, with new Amazon Prime customers able to use a 30-day free trial.
The Knicks enter the postseason as the favorites after finishing the regular season at 53-29, while the Hawks went 46-36. Madison Square Garden’s famed atmosphere gives New York a clear home-court advantage as the series opens.
