– Adonai Mitchell, wide receiver
– Breece Hall, running back
– Nahshon Wright, defensive back
– Joseph Ossai, pass rusher
– Dylan Parham, offensive lineman
– Jack Heflin, defensive lineman
Among the inactives, none came as a surprises. Wright has frequently been a healthy scratch this season. Heflin’s absence was unexpected, though he has not been a primary contributor.
With Heflin out, Nate Lynn had the opportunity to be active and contribute. Lynn joined the Jets after the second week of August and quickly showed potential. In two preseason games, he led the team with six pressures, tallied three sacks, and earned an 86.5 PFF grade, ranking highly among edge defenders with 30-plus snaps. Although he was initially waived at final roster cuts and later re-signed to the practice squad, Lynn earned a spot on the 53-man roster after Braiden McGregor sustained a seasonal injury.
Breathing room on the edge has allowed Lynn to be part of the rotation for the Patriots game, and he is active for the matchup.
This is a developing situation, with updates to follow as more details become available.
