Ravens coach Jesse Minter announced on Friday that Jackson is out for Sunday’s game. Huntley will make his second consecutive start in place of the injured MVP.
Despite Jackson’s absence, several prominent NFL prediction panels remain confident in Baltimore. All 11 ESPN panelists picked the Ravens to win, as did all six USA Today experts and all five NFL.com analysts. A Baltimore-based prediction panel also backed Baltimore unanimously.
The Ravens enter the matchup with a 4-1 record and aim to maintain their position atop the AFC North.
Baltimore’s chances are buoyed by the presence of running back Derrick Henry, who could exploit a Browns defense dealing with multiple injuries along the defensive front. Analysts have noted Cleveland’s defensive line injuries could open lanes for Baltimore’s rushing attack, and Henry’s size presents a significant challenge for a Browns unit that may be missing key contributors along the front.
Pre-game assessments also highlighted Huntley’s previous Week 5 performance, where he overcame early struggles to lead a late surge. He completed 24 of 32 passes for 201 yards with two touchdown passes and added a rushing score in a 30-23 overtime victory over Atlanta. The upcoming start will be Huntley’s 13th career appearance for the Ravens, with a 6-6 record as a starter entering this matchup.
Baltimore enters the game with a 4-1 record, while Cleveland stands at 3-2. The kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday in Cleveland.
