Sanders puts the ball in Julian Lewis’ court: “Trouble.”

Deion Sanders has left Julian Lewis’ future as Colorado’s quarterback uncertain, saying another opportunity is “on him” while declining to confirm whether the former five-star recruit will play again this season. With the Buffaloes at 2-5 and struggling at quarterback, Sanders said he did not want to answer in a way that could be seen as criticizing Lewis.

Lewis opened the season as Colorado’s starter but was replaced by Isaac Wilson at halftime against Baylor after completing 11 of 16 passes for 75 yards. Wilson has since had mixed results, including three interceptions against Texas Tech and a costly third-quarter fumble in Colorado’s 57-24 loss to Oklahoma State. Sanders has not named a definitive starter, though Wilson is expected to start against Kansas State, with freshman Kaneal Sweetwyne behind him.

### Key Takeaways
– Sanders says Lewis’ chance to return depends on the young quarterback, but has not ruled him out.
– Colorado is 2-5 and has lost five straight conference games, intensifying questions about its quarterback situation.
– Wilson is expected to start against Kansas State on October 31.
