Jordan, 27, was a sixth-round pick (205th overall) by the Texans in the 2024 NFL Draft. He recorded the Texans’ only 100-yard rushing game of the 2025 season but started the 2026 campaign back on the practice squad.
The Texans will face the Jaguars without starting running back David Montgomery, who is dealing with a groin injury. In his absence, Houston will rely on Woody Marks, the 2025 fourth-round pick (116th overall), with veteran Dare Ogunbowale available to help shoulder the workload.
Bryce Hall, 28, is a former fifth-round pick (158th overall) by the New York Jets in 2020. Hall had previously been called up earlier this season to contribute on special teams in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. The latest roster move gives Hall another opportunity to contribute this week; if he remains with the active roster beyond the current game, he will need to be promoted to the 53-man roster to continue playing in subsequent regular-season contests.
The Texans also did some reshuffling on the defensive side, waiving rookie seventh-round linebacker Aiden Fisher and releasing cornerback Collin Wright. Wright, an undrafted free agent, had appeared in one game this season on special teams against Dallas.
This set of moves comes as Houston attempts to strengthen depth at several positions ahead of an important matchup. The team continues to adjust its roster to maximize depth and readiness for a demanding schedule.
