Since Hurts became the full-time starter in 2021, he has missed only a handful of regular-season games, and this will be his seventh absence overall, with this matchup marking his first absence of the current year. McKee will be making his seventh appearance since 2023 and his third career start. The team also notes that Jordan Mailata and the rest of the Eagles feel confident in McKee’s readiness after a productive practice session.
McKee has drawn praise from Mailata for his poise, energy, and preparation. Mailata described McKee as a calm, collected presence who still displays high energy and relentless preparation, attributes that the left tackle says have been evident in how McKee approaches practice and game prep. This confidence comes as the Eagles face a three-game losing streak and navigate injuries across the roster, leaving McKee to lead the offense in a challenging Week 6 matchup.
