Bolton was previously announced as part of Mizzou’s Hall of Fame class in June, with the ceremony slated for Kansas City’s bye week. The Chiefs echoed the congratulations on social media, sharing images from Bolton’s induction and recognizing him as an official Hall of Fame inductee.
Recalling the moment, head coach Andy Reid had congratulated Bolton in person during a July practice, telling him he had earned the university’s highest athletic honor. Bolton expressed how meaningful the recognition was, noting that the state and city—from Columbia to Kansas City—had long been his home, and that he values the memories and relationships formed there. He also credited his teammates for helping him reach this milestone.
Bolton’s collegiate career at Missouri included multiple honors, such as First-Team All-SEC selections and a finalist spot for the Butkus Award. He joined the NFL’s Chiefs in the 2021 draft and has since contributed to two Super Bowl championships, including a fumble-return touchdown in Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Through the current season, Bolton has been productive for the Chiefs, recording 20 total tackles over the first four games.
