During the weekend, Swift was in Kansas City for Patrick Mahomes’ 31st birthday celebration at 1587 Prime, a restaurant co-owned by Mahomes and Kelce. Photos and videos from the event circulated online, fueling further talk about another possible Arrowhead appearance.
Swift’s appearance at the season opener was notable as it marked her first Chiefs game since marrying Kelce in the offseason. The couple wed on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York, and the opener provided a public moment for Swift to support her husband at an NFL game as his wife.
In the Denver game, Kelce finished with four receptions for 83 yards, including the crucial 59-yard catch that helped Kansas City advance into scoring position. Swift was seen celebrating the play in the suite.
Cruise later shared that Swift spent part of the game explaining football to him. He mentioned on a late-night talk show that Swift was “schooling” him on the sport, while Kelce has said that Swift now understands the game well enough to recognize penalties before officials announce them.
