Cowboys owner Jerry Jones emphasized how pivotal Prescott’s interception was to the outcome during a discussion on 105.3 The Fan, citing it as the turning point of the game. Jones’ remarks were reported by The Athletic’s Jon Machota on social media.
Prescott, a four-time Pro Bowler, finished 22-of-34 passing for 175 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. While he shouldered some responsibility for the loss, his lone turnover came at a critical juncture. The Giants’ offense also exploited Dallas’s defense, rushing for 165 yards and controlling possession for more than 36 minutes.
While Prescott’s miscue may have marked the game’s turning point, the Cowboys have clear defensive issues to address as they aim to avoid dropping to 0-2.
