Guardians Release Jake Miller From Organization
According to the club’s transactions tracker, Jake Miller has been released from AAA Columbus. Miller, a right-handed pitcher, had spent the 2026 season with the Clippers, posting a 7.35 ERA over 49 innings with 41 strikeouts.
Drafted by Cleveland in the 20th round of the 2021 MLB draft, Miller has spent his entire professional career within the Guardians organization. While his minor league numbers overall showed promise, his current AAA performance marked a setback, leading to the recent release, which allows him to sign with any other MLB club.
Looking at Jake Miller’s Full Professional Career Thus Far
At 26 years old, Miller could pursue another opportunity in professional baseball if he chooses. His minor league totals include a pitching record of 14-11, a 4.84 ERA, 118 appearances (20 starts), five saves, 210.1 innings pitched, 191 strikeouts, and a career WHIP of 1.34. His best season came in 2025 across the Guardians’ AA and AAA levels, when he posted a 2.86 ERA over 66 innings. The 2026 season, however, did not reflect that level of success, contributing to his release.
