Next Rehab Step for Lindor
The Mets announced that Lindor would advance to Triple-A Syracuse for the next phase of his rehab assignment. Before the weekend stint in Binghamton, Mets manager Carlos Mendoza indicated Lindor would help determine the next step based on his readiness, including at-bats and how he feels physically.
During Friday night’s rehab appearance in Binghamton, Lindor went 1-for-4 while playing six innings. After the game, Mendoza indicated Lindor provided a positive update on his condition, which helped push the rehab forward.
“Today was a good day,” Mendoza said. “He checked in at Citi Field, feeling fine, so we’ll see how he progresses tomorrow.”
Syracuse’s roster will also host other players from the Mets during this rehab window. Outfielder Tyrone Taylor is rehabbing from a right hip flexor strain and was set to visit Syracuse, while infielder Ronny Mauricio was also scheduled to join the Triple-A squad as he recovers from a left thumb fracture.
As Lindor continues to progress, fans will be watching closely for an impending activation. The timeline remains fluid, but the team has signaled a steady path back toward the majors, with the next update likely to come after his latest evaluation at the higher level of the minor leagues.
