Kicking off the season on Friday 21 August, Arsenal host Coventry City, newly promoted to the top flight, at the Emirates Stadium. This match comes five days after their Community Shield appearance against Manchester City at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Following the opener, Arsenal travel to Aston Villa the next weekend and then welcome Chelsea to north London.
The first North London derby of the season is set for the week of 5 December, with an away game against Tottenham Hotspur. The return fixture in the league will be played on 1 May. To bring the campaign to a close, Arsenal will meet Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates on Sunday 30 May.
