Judkins’ 2025 season featured notable production despite a bumpy overall offense. He finished with 827 rushing yards on 230 carries and seven touchdowns, providing a bright spot behind a battered or underperforming line.
The injury that ended Judkins’ season came in Week 16 against Buffalo, when he dislocated his ankle and fractured his fibula while attempting to make a catch out of the backfield. He underwent surgery on December 23, with a recovery window of roughly four to six months.
In the meantime, Browns observers noted Judkins looked “tremendously fit” as he trained with staff and remained on a steady recovery path. Head coach Todd Monken indicated the team won’t rush him, stressing that he should continue to progress weekly and that they anticipate he’ll be ready to participate fully sometime before the end of spring or summer.
The Browns have also prioritized upgrading the offensive line this offseason. They traded for tackle Tytus Howard, signed guard Zion Johnson and signed center/guard Elgton Jenkins, with plans to add at least one more lineman in the draft and potentially multiple linemen overall. The goal is to create a more reliable run game and give Judkins a clearer path to success.
Looking ahead, a healthier Judkins combined with an improved line could significantly impact the Browns’ offense in 2026. If he returns fully ready, the former Ohio State back could regain his role as a productive contributor behind a more cohesive and versatile offensive line.
