The crash occurred on March 27 in the Hobe Sound area, near Woods’s Jupiter, Florida home, as police responded to a single-vehicle incident that led to his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The document details Woods telling an officer that “all the drones” were flying over his home, describing “10 to 15 drones” passing over his car with GoPros mounted on them.
It also notes he stepped away while on the phone and said he had “just [been] talking to the president trying to get away from …” before trailing off; President Donald Trump has stated he spoke with Woods on the day of the crash.
Woods told police he was taking medication for high blood pressure and cholesterol, and was also using ibuprofen and Vicodin, while denying alcohol use. A breath test showed no alcohol, but he refused a urine test for drugs.
Separately, Woods and his legal team are contesting prosecutors’ bid to obtain his prescription records from the months preceding the crash, seeking privacy protections through a protective order. Woods has pleaded not guilty and said he is taking a break from golf to focus on his health.
