ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Philadelphia has reemerged as a trade option, and that Minnesota is seeking a premium Day 2 pick for Greenard. The Eagles hold Day 2 selections at Nos. 54, 68, and 98 this year.
Greenard impressed last season with a 23.3 percent pass rush win rate, totaling 47 quarterback pressures, 35 hurries, eight hits, four sacks, and a forced fumble in 270 pass-rush snaps across 12 games. Pro Football Focus ranked him 31st among 115 edge defenders who logged enough snaps to qualify.
In his first season with the Vikings, Greenard ranked third in the league in pressures (80) and first in hurries (59), according to PFF. Pro Football Reference credits him with 18 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, four forced fumbles, and three pass breakups that year.
Teams weighing a deal must consider Greenard’s contract trajectory, as he is entering his seventh NFL season at age 29 and is seeking a significant raise on the final two years of his four-year, roughly $76 million deal. A shoulder injury cost him five games in 2025, which could factor into any trade assessment and potential extension.
The Vikings have a ready-made replacement in first-round pick Dallas Turner, who has shown immediate upside. Turner posted 15 QB hits, 11 tackles for loss, eight sacks, four forced fumbles, and 42 QB pressures with 27 hurries across 17 games and 10 starts in his second pro season, giving Minnesota flexibility if Greenard moves on. Judd Zulgad has suggested the Vikings could land a second-round pick in a deal, with fans potentially frustrated if a first-round return isn’t pursued.
