Velazquez, 31, was a seventh-round pick in the 2012 MLB Draft and has spent time with several MLB clubs early in his career.
The 31-year-old spent the first two seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Cleveland Guardians, followed by stints with the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees.
