Pittman Jr. is a two-time 1,000-yard receiver, giving Pittsburgh a reliable big-play option after trading for DK Metcalf last offseason and letting veterans such as Calvin Austin III, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Adam Thielen walk or retire.
Insider Mark Kaboly suggested Boston could be in play at No. 21, noting his size and athleticism make him an attractive fit despite Pittsburgh already adding similar-style players with Metcalf and Pittman Jr. If Boston is available, he could enter the Steelers’ plans at the top of the draft.
Boston stands 6’4” and weighs about 210 pounds, bringing a blend of measurables and production. He posted career highs in 2025 with 881 receiving yards, 11 touchdowns, and strong efficiency (14.2 yards per catch) after recording at least 60 receptions and 800 yards in a Big Ten season.
Beyond Boston, Pittman Jr. gives the Steelers a potentially elite duo at receiver, helping address the team’s lack of consistent production beyond Metcalf last year. Drafting a high-upside wideout like Boston could further diversify the corps and add youth depth.
There’s even broader upside if veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers decides to return, which could elevate Pittsburgh’s offense beyond its already promising 2025 showing, especially with Rodgers’ 25 total touchdowns and a division title on his resume.
With 12 draft picks on the horizon, the Steelers have ample avenues to reinforce the wide receiver room and build a deeper, more versatile passing attack for 2026.
