Buffalo has long sought a true No. 1 receiver since shipping Diggs to the Texans, and Diggs was a productive top target during his time with the Bills. He earned four Pro Bowl nods and delivered elite numbers with Allen as his quarterback.
NFL analyst Aaliyan Mohammed urged a Diggs reunion, arguing that a cheaper deal could still yield a dynamic pairing with Moore. He noted that Diggs and Allen posted big numbers together and highlighted Diggs’ 2020 First-Team All-Pro season as a benchmark for what a reunited duo could achieve.
Diggs has suggested his time in Buffalo was over, saying the change was needed after the trade to Houston, and he indicated that his mental space worsened toward the end of his Bills tenure. “Things had to shake because I kind of wanted them to shake,” he said in a recent interview.
In any case, Diggs’ production was notable last season, with 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and 4 touchdowns, a reminder of the impact he could have if he returned to a role as Buffalo’s top receiver.
Even with Moore in the fold, Buffalo could still look to the draft for additional wide receiver help. ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg said the Bills remain open to targeting a receiver early, leveraging the flexibility Moore provides, though the team’s seven picks in the 2026 NFL Draft could influence how they approach the position.
