ESPN’s Bill Barnwell recently predicted that Brown could be traded to the Denver Broncos in a blockbuster move ahead of the 2026 season. In Barnwell’s scenario, Denver would part with cornerback Riley Moss plus a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to acquire Brown, adding a proven playmaker to an offense that came close to a Super Bowl berth.
Brown has been a cornerstone of the Eagles since the 2022 trade from the Tennessee Titans, earning two Pro Bowl selections and three All-Pro Second Team honors during his Philadelphia tenure. However, 2025 saw Brown frustrated with the team’s passing attack, publicly voicing concerns and prompting internal discussions about his role in the offense.
Philadelphia is not inclined to part with Brown without adequate compensation, especially given the presence of other playmakers such as DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, and Dallas Goedert. The proposed Broncos package, if it materializes, would provide Eagles general manager Howie Roseman with additional draft capital to pursue young talent or further trades, while giving Denver a legitimate top-tier target to complement its offense.
The idea of trading Brown reflects the broader offseason dynamics for the Eagles, who have already made coaching changes and now must weigh immediate impact versus long-term roster strategy. Whether the organization chooses to move Brown will depend on both the value offered and the front office’s assessment of their current offense’s ceiling with Brown in the lineup.
