NFL.com’s Nick Shook positioned Dart at No. 23 among 63 quarterbacks who started a regular-season or playoff game this year, placing him in Tier 4. He sits behind Bryce Young (No. 21) and Tyler Shough (No. 22) and just ahead of Malik Willis (No. 24).
Dart’s rookie season with the Giants ended 4-8 after being drafted 25th overall last year. He threw for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions, while adding 487 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns.
The rookie delivered several notable moments, including his first NFL start against the Chargers, a win over the Eagles, and late close calls versus the Broncos and Bears. The Giants’ other quarterbacks did not win a game started outside of Dart.
Shook acknowledged Dart’s exciting, game-changing flashes and his willingness to take risks, but also noted durability concerns. With better health and consistency, he suggested Dart could emerge as the Giants’ franchise quarterback.
Beyond Dart, Winston ranked No. 40 in Tier 5 after two starts, and Russell Wilson was No. 45 in Tier 6 after Week 1. Winston helped keep the Giants competitive while turning the ball over at times, while Wilson’s explosive Dallas performance stood out amid broader consistency issues.
