Myers’ 17 points in the game pushed his season total to 206, making him the first player in NFL history to score 200+ points in a single season (including playoffs). The previous mark of 198 belonged to LaDainian Tomlinson.
Before Sunday, only four kickers had logged four field goals in a Super Bowl; Myers surpassed that by converting five attempts.
The success wasn’t limited to the Super Bowl. In the regular season, Myers connected on 41 field goals and accumulated 171 points, leading the league in scoring for 2025.
His playoff run was strong as well: 11 points in the divisional round against San Francisco and seven more in the NFC Championship versus the Rams.
Entering the game at 189 season points, Myers’ performance would have made him a historic Super Bowl MVP contender if Seattle had won, but the night still marked an unprecedented achievement for a kicker in NFL history.
The Seahawks leaned heavily on Myers throughout the season, and the record-breaking performance in Super Bowl LX underscored his pivotal role in Seattle’s scoring prowess.
