Marshall, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound wideout, was a 2021 second-round pick (No. 59 overall) by the Carolina Panthers. He did not appear in a regular-season game for the Eagles, remaining with the team on the practice squad throughout the season.
Philadelphia originally signed Marshall to a one-year, $1.195 million contract in April but cut him during final roster reductions on August 26. The Eagles later added him to the practice squad on December 1 ahead of Week 14’s Monday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
That December return marked Marshall’s third stint on the Eagles’ practice squad in 2025, limiting his opportunities to be elevated to the active roster. With five games remaining late in the season, he could have been eligible for up to three active-game elevations under the rules.
Marshall’s career has included four seasons with the Panthers and a 2024 stint with the Las Vegas Raiders, before a late‑season opportunity with Philadelphia offered a renewed chance to break through. The Athletic highlighted him during minicamp for strong catches, and evaluators noted his speed, including a 4.38-second 40-yard dash at his LSU pro day.
The Dolphins’ signing was announced by OTR Victory’s Jimmy Smith on X as a Reserve/Future Contract, confirming the move from Philadelphia. For Philadelphia, the departure reflects the ongoing emphasis on depth at wide receiver as the team navigates injuries and roster management.
