The Paris Game is part of the NFL’s plan to stage eight international games in 2026, continuing a growth trajectory that began with London’s 2007 International Series kickoff. The Saints’ Paris appearance will mark their fourth regular-season overseas game after three trips to London.
The Saints already have a strong link to Paris and France through the NFL’s Global Markets Program, holding the country’s international marketing rights since 2023. The arrangement complements their work with Louisiana Economic Development to promote business growth and tourism.
Saints Owner Gayle Benson expressed enthusiasm for the milestone: “We are excited to be selected to play in the first regular-season game to take place in France,” underscoring the cultural ties between Louisiana and France and the team’s growing Paris fan base.
A strategic partnership with the Paris Musketeers of the European League of Football (ELF) will help unite fan bases and advance cross-continental football experiences. Saints officials visited France in summer 2025, while Musketeers representatives visited New Orleans in November, attending a Saints practice and the Caesars Superdome matchup against the Falcons.
As a league-led event, a limited number of tickets will be available to eligible Saints season-ticket holders via lottery. The opponent, exact date, and kickoff time for the 2026 Paris Game will be announced by the NFL at a later date.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell framed the move as a continuation of the league’s global growth, noting Paris as a premier host city for major events and expressing excitement about bringing the NFL to French fans.
