Lewis is entering his 12th NFL coaching season, coming off three years coaching Baltimore’s wide receivers. In 2024, he helped Zay Flowers become the Ravens’ first Pro Bowl receiver, a season in which Flowers posted 74 receptions for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns.
The two-time Super Bowl champion brings championship pedigree to a Titans offense undergoing a broader overhaul. Lewis was part of the Chiefs’ coaching staff for Super Bowl LIV after the 2019 season and for LVII following the 2022 season.
The hire strengthens the connection between Lewis and Borgonzi, who joined Tennessee as GM last January after a stint with the Chiefs as assistant GM from 2021-2024, a period that included a 52-16 regular-season record.
This development comes as Tennessee’s offensive staff is being assembled by newly hired offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, the former New York Giants head coach. Daboll has already brought Giants assistants Shea Tierney (quarterbacks coach) and Carmen Bricillo (offensive line coach) to Nashville.
Lewis’s NFL résumé includes stints with the Philadelphia Eagles (wide receivers coach in 2016) and the Chiefs (WRs coach 2017-2020, then running backs coach 2021-2022). His playing career spanned eight seasons (2003-2010) with Philadelphia and Minnesota, highlighted by a notable touchdown catch in Super Bowl XXXIX for the Eagles.
The Titans are continuing to reshape their coaching staff amid a turbulent 2025 season that saw a 1-5 start and an eventual 3-14 finish, underscoring the push for stability under Saleh and his new leadership team. Saleh’s introductory press conference in Nashville is scheduled for Thursday as the franchise moves forward with its new direction.
