Daboll will join Titans head coach Robert Saleh, reuniting two ex-New York coaches, and is expected to call plays while helping develop quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick from 2025.
Ward’s rookie season produced 3,169 passing yards on 59.8% completions with 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions, a year interrupted by a coaching change and a limited supporting cast. Still, the former Miami product displayed arm talent and the ability to improvise when plays broke down.
Daboll’s reputation as a quarterback developer—notably transforming Josh Allen into a perennial MVP candidate—helps explain the Titans’ interest. His work with Jaxson Dart, while brief, was also highlighted as a positive during his earlier tenure.
Daboll remains in contention for the Raiders’ head coaching job and is also viewed as a candidate for offensive coordinator roles with the Titans and the Eagles. Tennessee reportedly expects him to join Saleh’s staff unless Las Vegas selects him as head coach.
The Raiders’ decision remains up in the air, and if Las Vegas hires Daboll as its next head coach, he would likely choose that opportunity over the Titans. For Giants fans, the development means continued movement for a high-profile NFL coaching figure away from the NFC.
