Brady, who has spent the past two seasons as Buffalo’s OC, would transition to the club’s top job under the reported five-year deal, signaling a long-term commitment to his offensive-structure vision in Buffalo.
Buffalo’s move leaves Daboll’s options more limited, with the Raiders emerging as the remaining substantial hurdle between Daboll and the Titans. Daboll previously interviewed for the Bills’ head coaching vacancy, a process that followed his four-year run as Buffalo’s OC from 2018-2021, a period that helped develop Josh Allen into an MVP-caliber quarterback.
Daboll later moved to the Giants as head coach in 2022 and remained in that role until his midseason firing in 2025, a career arc that has continued to fuel Tennessee’s interest in reuniting with him as an offensive architect. The Titans had been active in their OC search, interviewing multiple candidates, including Kliff Kingsbury.
ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported that Arthur Smith had conversations with both the Eagles and Titans before ultimately taking an offensive coordinator role at Ohio State, a path now considered unlikely for Tennessee and Daboll as the OSU option has faded. The Titans also conducted interviews with several other candidates on Monday as they weigh their next move.
