Wilson, 43, previously served as the Ravensā defensive backs coach in 2023 and has spent the last two seasons as the Titansā defensive coordinator. Horton, a long-time Harbaugh aide in Baltimore, previously served as assistant special teams coach (2014-2018) before taking over as coordinator from 2019-2025.
Wilsonās hire comes after Tennesseeās defense ranked 21st in 2025, a decline many around the league attribute to personnel rather than Wilsonās scheme. The Steelers⦠correction: Tennesseeās defense ranking should be retained as reported: 21st in 2025, with the 2024 unit finishing second in total defense.
Now tasked with turning around a Giants defense that finished 28th this year, Wilson will oversee a unit that features front-seven talent, including an All-Pro presence alongside Dexter Lawrence and Abdul Carter, as Harbaugh and Giants brass aim to maximize the groupās potential.
Horton will take over a special teams unit that averaged 27.7 yards per kickoff return (fifth in the NFL) and 8.7 yards per punt return (22nd). Hortonās input will also factor into whether the team brings back free-agent returner Gunner Olszewski.
In addition to the Wilson and Horton hires, Zenitz reported the Giants are expected to add Ravens assistant linebackers coach Matt Pees, running backs quality control coach Adam Schrack, and defensive backs quality control coach Brendan Clark. These moves continue Harbaughās influence on the Giantsā coaching staff.
