McCutcheon initially joined the Steelers’ organization via the practice squad in October 2024, before being released after a month. He resurfaced with Pittsburgh again in March 2025, starting the 2025 season on the Steelers’ practice squad before signing with the Titans in September.
The 2022 NFL campaign with the Los Angeles Rams marked McCutcheon’s last regular-season appearance, and he has also spent time with the Houston Texans and New York Jets. In 2022, he appeared in 10 games, recording five targets and no receptions, while contributing 56 offensive snaps and 110 special-teams snaps.
This move places McCutcheon back in the Titans’ ranks for the upcoming season, offering him another chance to prove himself in a broader NFL role after a career largely characterized by practice squad stints and limited game participation.
McCutcheon’s return comes as teams continue to finalize rosters and depth at the receiver position, with the Titans seeking versatile options to contribute on offense and special teams. The one-year agreement provides both the player and the franchise a low-risk opportunity to evaluate fit and potential impact during the coming season.
